Observing
Observe and interact with a 3D body map that animates emotions derived from Nummenmaa's bodily map of emotions study.
Modelling
Describe your feelings by combining shapes using the EmotionMirror 3D modelling application.
This study aims to investigate whether participants will experience changes in their interoceptive awareness and stress levels while using the EmotionMirror web application to draw, observe, or model their feelings. Participants will provide valuable data and feedback for this study. Interested parties who are 18 years of age or older are invited to visit the study portal and complete the onboarding survey.
Participants’ will receive their User ID via email after completing the survey, and proceed to their allotted condition (Drawing, Observing or Modelling) by entering their User ID into the “User ID” field. Participants are encouraged to return to the website and use the application as many times as they wish between October 1st to December 6th (study period has been extended by 5 days). Participants can use the app beyond the study period, as often and for as long as they wish. During each session, participants will fill out a pre-assessment survey, use the application and then complete a post-assessment survey. At the end of the study period, participants will receive a reminder to complete a final survey. dapibus leo.
Note:
- The study will be performed entirely on the website’s study portal.
- Participants will be allotted to one condition (Drawing, Observing or Modelling) during the entire study period.
- Watch the tutorials provided to understand better how to use the application.
- Upon completion of the study requirements, participants will receive full access to all the features and new application versions for the product’s lifespan.
- U of R Participant Pool students will need to save and provide their user ID code in the final survey to gain credit for the study.
